Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Michelle Waterson has had her UFC debut date and opponent confirmed. Waterson will take on The Ultimate Fighter season 20 competitor Angela Magana at the TUF 21 Finale.
The female fighter known as 'The Karate Hottie' officially signed with the UFC earlier this week. Having last competed in the 105lb division under the Invicta FC banner, Michelle will be moving up to the 115lb strawweight division of the UFC to compete among the likes of Paige VanZant, Carla Esparza and the division's current champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.Â
Waterson claimed the Invcita FC atomweight title with a submission win over TUF 20 semi-finalist Jessica Penne. She successfully defended the belt against Yasuko Tamada before losing the belt to Herica Tiburcio in her most recent fight at Invicta FC 10 in December.
Magana is best-known for her time competing as a member of Team Melendez on season 20 of TUF. She was eliminated in the first round of the show via TKO by Ireland's Aisling Daly. She made her official UFC debut at the TUF 20 Finale, losing via unanimous decision to Tecia Torres.
The TUF 21 Finale is set to take place on Sunday July 12th in Miami, Florida.
