Asian MMA promotion OneÂ Championship haveÂ announced their first ever event in Thailand. Fans in Bangkok will One Championship actionÂ at the Impact Arena on May 27th.
Headlining the card is former multiple-time Lumpinee Muay Thai champion and reigning One strawweight champÂ Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, who will defend his title against a yet-to-be-confirmed opponent. Famous Thai bands Bodyslam and Big Ass are also set to provide live musical entertainment at the event.
President of One Championship's Thailand division, Kamol Sukosol Clapp, stated: "The Kingdom of Thailand has an undeniably rich martial arts history, and I am personally excited to bring One Championship, the worldâ€™s most exciting MMA promotion and Asiaâ€™s largest sports media property, to fans in the country who have been patiently waiting for years. One of our greatest champions, Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, cannot wait to return home and defend his belt in front of a hometown crowd."
Also, 10 live One events are planned to be broadcast throughout this year, every Saturday night on the Thairath TV network, beginning with the first broadcast on March 12thÂ at 10pm local time.
