KSW earlier announced two title fights to headline their upcoming visit to Gdansk, Poland, for KSW 49 on May 18th.
The main event sees Scott Askham and Michal Materla run it back a second time to determine who is the KSW middleweight champion.
Askham and Materla previously fought in KSW 42. Askham scored an early TKO win thanks to a number of crunching body kicks Materla couldn’t withstand.
The KSW welterweight championship will also be fought for on the night.
Champion Roberto Soldic will take on Krystian Kaszubowski in the co-main event.
Knockout artist Soldic is coming off a highlight reel-worthy knockout win over Vinicius Bohrer at KSW 46, having regained his belt against rival Dricus Du Plessis at KSW 45 in London’s Wembley Arena.
Kaszubowski hasn’t been around long, having only signed with KSW in 2018 after a 5-0 run on the local scene in Poland. Two first round stoppage wins in his debut year in KSW over the previously undefeated Christophe Henze and the tough Michal Michalski secured Kaszubowski’s place as the number one contender in the division.
