Joanna Jedrzejczyk is set to return to the strawweight division she once ruled over with an iron fist in October. And the woman looking to welcome her back to the 115-pound division in style is the “Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson.
Originally reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the former UFC strawweight champion will face off with Waterson on a UFC Fight Night card on October 12.

Waterson’s manager Kawa has claimed the event will take place in San Francisco, California. This would be the first UFC event to ever be held in the city.
Jedrzejczyk’s last appearance in the Octagon saw her fight long-time kickboxing rival Valentina Shevchenko for the vacant women’s flyweight championship last December. Jedrzejczyk lost a unanimous decision, which sees her post one win in her last four contests.
Waterson is on a run of three consecutive victories after defeating Courtney Casey, Felice Herrig and Karolina Kowalkiewicz all by decision.
