It looks like Darren Till’s days as a welterweight could be over.
Till’s future as a welterweight in the UFC has long been a topic of conversation due to his size in the weight class.
Liverpudlian Till has also struggled with making the 170-pound welterweight limit in the past, missing weight against Jessin Ayari in 2017, before doing the same against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson ahead of his hometown fight last year.
Since his victory over Thompson, Till has successfully made weight twice, but came up short against former champion Tyron Woodley and then Jorge Masvidal.
After those two consecutive losses – the first of his MMA career – it looks like Till could be interested in testing the water at middleweight.

Till, who is training from his former base in Brazil, took to Instagram to post a photo in the gym with the caption: “Come den motherf**king middleweights.”
Obviously, this could be talk from Till designed to drive conversation about his next run in the UFC. However, this could be a sign Till is really thinking about a run as a UFC middleweight going forward.
