It didn’t take long for Denmark’s Nicolas Dalby to get matched up after re-signing with the UFC.
Dalby will face Brazil’s Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira in his nation’s capital city Copenhagen at UFC Fight Night 160 on September 28.

Dalby has returned to the UFC fold after a five-fight stint in top European promotion Cage Warriors.
The 34-year-old Dane went 3-1-1 at Cage Warriors, losing to now-UFC fighter Carlos Pedersoli Jr. in a split decision, before racking up three wins over Roberto Allegretti, Philip Mulpeter, and Alex Lahore.
Dalby won the interim Cage Warriors welterweight championship against Lahore.
However, his fight with Ross Houston to unify the Cage Warriors welterweight belts ended in bizarre fashion.
The fight was called off halfway through the third round and was ruled a No Contest as the cage surface the pair were fighting on was ruled to be too unsafe. This was due to the sheer amount of blood on the cage canvas leading to the pair struggling to gain a footing of any sort.
In Dalby’s previous stint with the UFC, he went 1-2-1. defeating Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and drawing with England’s Darren Till, before suffering back-to-back losses to Zak Cummings and Peter Sobotta.
Cowboy Oliveira is currently riding a two-fight losing streak. He was submitted by Gunnar Nelson at UFC 231 and then dropped a decision against Mike Perry back in April.
UFC Copenhagen is set to be headlined by a fight between rising middleweights Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier.
