Jared Cannonier is a problem in the UFC’s middleweight division

Jared Cannonier is a force to be reckoned with in the middleweight division.
After laying waste to David Branch and Anderson Silva, Cannonier listed Jack Hermansson as his latest victim at 185 pounds – his third win on the bounce since moving down to the weight class.
Despite his boxing prowess, Hermansson seemed keen to bring the fight down to the floor to avoid Cannonier’s fierce power.
While he did initially find success, Cannonier wised up and easily rebuffed the Swede’s takedowns with regularity after being grounded first time round.
Hermansson started the second round pensively and with good reason. As soon as he got on the inside to launch an attack, Cannonier met his dipped head with a brutal uppercut to floor his foe.
It was a wrap from there. Cannonier unleashed a violent barrage of elbows and punches to finish Hermansson off.
Hermansson defended to a certain degree, but he wasn’t able to advance his position and referee Marc Goddard rightly called off the fight.
This is the third statement win for Cannonier at middleweight now. Surely, he will at least be competing for number one contender status next.
