Marvin Vettori followed Derek Brunson’s blueprint to beating Kevin Holland as he took a wrestling-based approach to silence “Big Mouth” over five rounds at UFC on ABC 2 on Saturday night.
Holland, who stepped in on short notice for the injured Darren Till, looked to be getting the better of Vettori in the early striking exchanges. However, he had little answer for Vettori’s grappling once “The Italian Dream” found his route to victory and earn a deserved unanimous decision from the judges.
