The interim ONE heavyweight title is up for grabs at ONE: Only The Brave, as two hard-hitting sluggers get set to throw down for gold at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Both men head into the matchup with undefeated records, Malykhin perfect at 10-0 and Grishenko currently at 5-0, with both men holding a host of finishes to their respective names.
But it’s Malykhin whose resume stands out heading into the matchup. His two ONE Championship bouts to date have both produced first-round knockouts, with the Russian finishing Brazil’s Alexandre Machado in less than four minutes, then stopping Iranian powerhouse Amir Aliakbari in under three minutes to position himself for a shot at interim gold.
Also on the card is a battle between top-ranked featherweight contenders, as No. 1-ranked Kim Jae Woong faces off against No. 4 contender Tang Kai, while the main card also features the semi-finals of the ONE featherweight kickboxing world grand prix, with Marat Grigorian facing Chingiz Allazov, and Sittchai taking on Davit Kiria.
The event streams live on YouTube and via the ONE Championship app on Friday, January 28.
