That’s the question many in the world of MMA are asking themselves as the Kyrgyzstani world champion returns to put her undisputed UFC women’s flyweight title on the line at UFC 275.
“Bullet” will feature in the co-main event of the evening in Singapore, where she’ll take on one of the newest contenders to emerge from the pack in the 125-pound division, Taila Santos.
The Brazilian has impressed with four consecutive victories after losing a split decision on her octagon debut. But her form in defeating Molly McCann, Gillian Robertson, Roxanne Modafferi and Joanne Wood has been enough to prompt the UFC brass to hand the 28-year-old a shot at the title.
But can Santos succeed where so many others have failed, or will Shevchenko stamp her class on the division once again with her seventh consecutive title defence?
