The UFC’s latest pay-per-view offering features something of a rarity – a main event that does not feature a UFC championship bout.
UFC 279 will see surging welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev take on octagon legend and longtime fan favourite Nate Diaz in a five-round 170-pound feature bout, with the matchup potentially set to be Diaz’s final bout in the UFC.
The co-main event also provides welterweight action, as Chinese contender Li Jingliang takes on former interim lightweight champ Tony Ferguson.
Throw in a host of other crowd-pleasing clashes and it all adds up to another packed card of fights at the T-Mobile Arena.
