Two former featherweight champions are set to return to action as Cage Warriors gets set to kick off another stellar double-header of fight nights in London in March.
Cage Warriors often dovetails its events with the UFC when the Las Vegas-based promotion comes to the UK, and that trend will continue with Cage Warriors 150 set to take place at the Indigo at The O2 on Friday, March 17, one day before UFC 286 takes place in The O2 Arena.
While the fight card for the event is still being compiled by matchmaker Ian Dean, the promotion has revealed a number of notable names who are set to compete on the night.
Top of that list is former featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic, whose bout with Paul Hughes in November produced one of the best atmospheres of the year as they battled it out for the unified 145-pound title in London.
Vucenic lost out that night, but “The Epidemic” is rested, recovered and ready to resume his assault on the division as he bids to recapture the title, and he’s sure to bring a huge army of fans along for the ride once again.
Another featherweight danger man is also set for action on the card, as French former champion Morgan Charriere is slated to compete as he too bids to reunite with the 145-pound strap.
“The Last Pirate” defeated Daniel Bazant at Cage Warriors 147 at the BT Sport studios last year, and he’ll be keen to deliver another strong performance in the capital on March 17.
Joining them on the card are former welterweight title challenger Justin Burlinson, lightweight contender Mehdi Ben Lakhdhar, and rising flyweight contender Lone’er Kavanagh.
