On a packed weekend of fights, French promotion Hexagone MMA is all set to stage its latest fight card, with the organization’s 10th event set to take place in a stunning open-air venue.
The ancient Roman Theater of Orange, a UNESCO world heritage site, will play host to Hexagone MMA 10, as one of the early pioneers of French MMA set to compete in the main event of the evening.
Gregory Bouchelaghem is better known to his fans as “Greg MMA,” with the French social media influencer and MMA fighter set to take center stage.
Between 2003 and 2006, Bouchelaghem competed against notable names including Mark Weir, Ross Pointon, Paulo Filho, and Gegard Mousasi, and fought for Cage Warriors, Pride Bushido and M-1 Global. But he was unable to compete in legally-sanctioned MMA events in his native France due to the sport being banned during that time.
Now, 17 years later, Bouchelaghem finally gets his chance to headline an event on home soil, and he’ll take on Italian veteran and historic Italian combat soccer sport Calcio Storico competitor Gianluca Locicero on Saturday night in an event that will be streamed in the UK on TNT Sports.
Also set for action on the card is a strawweight title fight, as Samantha Jean-Francois puts her 115-pound title on the line against Argentina’s Laura Balin, while UK welterweight veteran Walter Gahadza takes on Algeria’s Soufiene Oudina.
