UFC 294 fight night is almost upon us, and the final pre-fight obligations for the fighters has arrived, as they take to the stage for the final faceoffs ahead of their respective matchups in Abu Dhabi.
Fight week has been dominated by the dual storylines around the main and co-main events, with reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman both agreeing to step in on less than two weeks’ notice to take on lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Khamzat Chimaev, respectively.
The two matchups have seen interest and anticipation for the event go up a gear, with the two bouts both offering fascinating clashes that were previously not on the original fight card for October 21.
Fight week has generally been light on trash talk and bad blood, but the competitive fires are very much alive, and we’ll see how the fighters react as they go face to face in the final staredowns after flexing for the fans at the ceremonial weigh-ins.
