Tickets for UFC Fight Night 92 – the first UFC event to be held in Hamburg, Germany – are now on sale via Eventim. The show will take place at the Barclaycard Arena on September 3rd.
2016 will mark the third consecutive year that Germany has hosted a UFC event, after shows in Berlin in 2014 and 2015. The promotion also visited Germany in 2009 and 2010 to host events in Cologne and Oberhausen, respectively.
James Elliott, UFC general manager and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) VP, said: “Events in Germany deliver for the business on so many fronts, we have an incredibly passionate and knowledgeable fan base there and a fantastic network of supportive partners including Ran Fighting, Monster and EA. The event will be fantastic and I believe tickets will sell quickly so fans should buy now to avoid disappointment.”
Earlier in the week German fighters Nick Hein, Jarjis Danho and newly signed athlete Jessin Ayari toured the city of Hamburg in anticipation of being added to the much publicized event.
“It would be an honor to fight again in my home country,” said Hein. “Fans have a great opportunity to visit an amazing city, see an incredible sports event and enjoy the atmosphere. I hope to be on the card and if I am, want all the German UFC fans to buy tickets to support me and the other fighters.”
Bouts for the card are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
