UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon became a first-time father when his son Joey was born in January last year. Sadly for the Lauzon family, their son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma stage four, a form of cancer, at birth. But with his father’s fighting spirit and the help of The Jimmy Fund, baby Joey was able to crush cancer and is now living a happy and healthy life.
In this UFC Ultimate Insider segment Joe and his wife, Katie, tell their son’s incredible and inspiring story of survival.
“I keep saying, ‘He’s the real fighter in the family,'” says Joe. “He kicked cancer’s ass. He’s 1-0. I’ve got my butt kicked a few times but Joey’s undefeated.”
