A 1st degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Garry Tonon and John Danaher, Ryan has won gold three times in the World No-Gi Jiu Jitsu Championships and four Eddie Bravo Invitationals on top of his three ADCC wins.
Ryan has already defeated big names in MMA under submission grappling rules. These include submission specialists Gabriel Gonzaga, Alexey Oleynik and Rousimar Palhares.
His mentor Tonon has already made the jump from BJJ to MMA with ONE and has compiled a perfect 6-0 record there, with five of those six wins coming by either submission or knockout.
