The UFC has announced three more main events as the promotion starts to fill out its schedule for the third quarter of 2023.
UFC president Dana White took to social media to post a special announcement video announcing three events for upcoming UFC Fight Night shows in the second half of the year.
Saturday, August 5 sees the UFC head to Nashville, Tennessee for the first time since 2019, and the event now has a confirmed headliner with major title implications in the bantamweight division, as Cory Sandhagen has signed on the dotted to line to take on undefeated 16-0 Russian contender Umar Nurmagomedov.
Later that same month, the UFC heads to Asia for UFC Fight Night in Singapore, where The Lion City will play host to a main event featuring two legends of the featherweight division. Former undisputed 145-pound champion Max Holloway will face “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in what looks set to be a real crowd-pleaser at Singapore Indoor Stadium on August 26. The following day will see an additional event in Singapore, with the semi-finals of Road to UFC set to take place.
Finally, White announced the main event matchup for the UFC’s return to Paris, France on Saturday, September 2. Headlining that show on home soil once again is the man who closed the show at the UFC’s first Paris show, heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane, who will face off against tricky Moldovan contender Serghei Spivac.
The three main events help bolster a busy third quarter for the UFC, which currently has 13 events scheduled through July, August, and September.
