French MMA promotion Hexagone MMA is all set to break new ground as they take their cage to the Netherlands on October 28.
The upcoming show, in partnership with local organization Enfusion Cage Events (ECE), will see Hexagone head to Alkmaar for a shot at the Hoornse Vaart Sports Complex, with Hexagone providing the main card bouts, and ECE booking the preliminary card matchups.
The matchups, which will also see athletes from the two organizations going head to head, will mark Hexagone MMA’s debut on Dutch soil, with co-founder of Hexagone, Jerome Pourrut, excited for the prospect of pitching his cage in Holland for a live show in a nation with a deep-rooted passion for combat sports.
“We are very much looking forward to it,” he said.
“This is our first event abroad this year, so there are a lot of expectations. On this occasion, we chose to partner with the ECE, a world-renowned kickboxing and MMA promoter. The synergy between the two brands makes sense and will benefit everyone.”
The event is part of Hexagone’s plans to grow its international reach. The organization has already held an event in Dubai in 2022, and also held an event in Oberhausen, Germany, in partnership with local promotion GMC.
Hexagone MMA also has a scheduled co-promotion with Bahrain MMA promotion Brave CF on September 7, with a special event in Nantes, France
“We can’t wait to put together this show with Hexagone MMA, as one of the most ambitious mixed martial arts organisations in Europe,” said ECE president Edwin Van Os.
“Together, we will offer fans an unforgettable night of fights.”
Matchups for the event will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
