Johnny Walker has given his fans a positive update following his knockout loss to Jamahal Hill at UFC Fight Night 201.
Walker is known for his happy-go-lucky demeanor, and he put a brave face on his brutal knockout defeat as he checked in with his fans via a video posted to his Instagram page.
“What’s up guys? I’m OK. Just a little cut,” he said.
“I sleep in the fight, so something happened wrong.”
Walker panned his phone camera to show his coaches and teammates, including SBG Ireland’s John Kavanagh, who were relaxing in Walker’s hotel room with boxes of pizza on the table and a bottle of Proper Number Twelve whiskey.
The Brazilian has been in something of a rut, with his latest defeat extending his poor run to four losses in his last five fights.
But the 29-year-old, whose last win – a first-round knockout of Ryan Spann – came back in September 2020, appears not to be dwelling too much on his recent defeat, and seemingly just wants to put the night in the rearview mirror and move on to the next bout.
“Let’s eat and be happy, and let’s go to the next one!”
