Jordan Vucenic returns to face Tiziano Ferranti at Cage Warriors 150

Former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic will look to get back on the road to the promotion’s 145-pound title when he returns to action in March.

Vucenic will take on Italy’s Tiziano “The Golden Boy” Ferranti in the main event of Cage Warriors 150, which will take place at the Indigo at The O2 in London on Friday, March 17.

It’s a bout that will offer Vucenic the chance to bounce back into the win column after he lost his featherweight title to then-interim champ Paul Hughes in an epic encounter at Cage Warriors 145 in November 2022.

Victory for the 26-year-old could potentially have propelled him into the UFC, but now he’s looking to regroup, and will aim to return to the sort of form that saw him claim victories over the likes of Hughes, Morgan Charriere and James Hendin.

He’ll face Italy’s Ferranti, who is unbeaten in six pro bouts. the 22-year-old has notched 13 consecutive finishes across his seven amateur and six professional bouts to date. “The Golden Boy” arrives in Cage Warriors looking to make an instant impact against one of the UK promotion’s biggest names.

“Hughes vs. Vucenic 2 was one of the biggest fights in Cage Warriors history,” said Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan.

“Things didn’t go Jordan’s way on the night, but he has a champion’s mindset and wants to get right back in there to test himself against another dangerous opponent.”

“They don’t come much more dangerous than Tiziano Ferranti. Just 22 years old and already knocking out opponents for fun, he’s got the tools to pose some serious problems for anyone in the division.

The bout joins a card packed with familiar faces to regular Cage Warriors fans. Former featherweight champ Morgan Charriere faces James Hendin, while Jamie Richardson and Justin Burlinson are set to face off in a crowd-pleasing 170-pound bout.

Former middleweight champion James Webb is also scheduled for action against Brazil’s Alan Carlos, and there’s a battle of rising featherweight talents as Harry Hardwick faces off against Shoaib Yousaf.
