The striking arts are set to feature heavily at the sharp end of ONE Championship’s latest event, as the Singapore Indoor Stadium prepares for another double-header at the end of the month.

The first leg of that double-header is ONE 161, with ONE’s matchmakers stacking the main card with spectacular striking matchups to close the show on Thursday, September 29.

Headlining the event is a featherweight Muay Thai championship bout between defending champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee and top contender Tawanchai PK.Saenchai, while chief support is provided by two heavyweight grand prix kickboxing semi-final matchups.

In those two semi-final tournament bouts, Roman Kryklia faces Guto Inocente, while Iraj Azizpour takes on Bruno Chaves.

The remaining main card bouts will be contested under MMA rules, with Zhang Lipeng taking on Saygid Izagakhmaev at lightweight, Ritu Phogat facing Tiffany Teo at atomweight, and Wang Shuo battling Yuya Wakamatsu at flyweight.

The lead card also features a smorgasbord of martial arts matchups, with a pair of explosive bantamweight Muay Thai bouts on deck.

Capitan Petchyindee faces Alaverdi Ramazanov in the featured lead card matchup, while Zhang Chenglong takes on Sangmanee PK.Saenchai in the other bantamweight Muay Thai clash.

Also featured on the lead card is the return of heavyweight behemoth and former Senegalese wrestling superstar Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane, who takes on Batradz Gazzaev.
