The Professional Fighters League has announced its three-date schedule for the 2022 PFL Playoffs, with the PFL SmartCage heading to the United Kingdom for the final two playoff events of the year.
The Playoffs are set to kick off in the United States at Hulu Theater, Madison Square Garden, on Friday, August 5 before heading across the pond for a double-header of playoff events.
Saturday, August 13 will see the PFL arrive in Cardiff, Wales, for an event at the Motorpoint Arena. Then the PFL SmartCage heads to London, England for a playoff event at the Copper Box Arena in the Olympic Park, Stratford, on August 20.
“MMA fans in the United Kingdom will experience PFL’s star fighters battle it out for a shot at the PFL World Championship and the $6 million dollar prize money,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray, via press release.
The event will be promoted in conjunction with Live Nation in the UK, with their VP of sports and family entertainment, Sean Ryman, hailing the PFL’s arrival in the UK later this summer.
“We’re delighted to partner with the Professional Fighters League to deliver their first UK events this summer,” he said.
“The PFL is a global brand in combat sports with an elite roster of athletes, the UK is excited and ready for this and it’s long overdue.”
