Ray Borg is pulled from UFC 215 fight with Demetrious Johnson due to illness

UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will have to wait a little while longer to break Anderson Silva’s UFC title defense record.

Johnson had hoped to make it to eleven successful defenses this Saturday (September 9) against Ray Borg, but that will no longer be possible due to Borg withdrawing from the contest – as a result of an illness – and the bout being scrapped altogether.

The new UFC 215 main event will be the UFC women’s bantamweight title fight between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Valentina Shevchenko.
