This Friday night, September 3, at UAE Warriors 21: Arabia 4, the promotion will crown their first ever Arabia champions at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Former Bellator fighter and UAE native Mohammad Yahya (9-3) will face Algeria’s Yazid Chouchane (7-2) in the main event for the inaugural UAE Warriors Arabia lightweight championship while popular Kuwaiti fighter Abdullah Boushehri (8-2) will battle Morocco’s Badreddine Diani (3-1) in the co-main event for the inaugural UAE Warriors Arabia welterweight title.
The fight card will also feature Omar ‘187’ Hussein (8-2) vs. Wisem Hammami (5-0), heavy hitter Charbel Diab (5-0), Bellator vet Asael Adjoudj (1-1), and more.
UAE Warriors launched the Arabia event series in January of this year with the goal of developing MMA within the region and providing a platform for fighters of Arabic heritage.
This event is part of a weekend double-header for the Abu Dhabi-based promotion with UAE Warriors 22 taking place on Saturday night, September 4, with former BAMMA champion Rany Saadeh (12-3) facing long-time Bellator fighter Shawn Bunch (9-5) in the main event.
For the first time ever, the UAE Warriors organisation has been nominated for the MMA Promotion of the Year award, alongside the UFC, Bellator, Brave CF, and Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA), in the 13th Annual Fighters Only World MMA Awards.
