This weekend sees the latest big-time UFC event, with two championships on the line at the top of the fight card at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi.
In the main event, reigning light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz puts his 205-pound title on the line against Brazilian veteran and former title challenger Glover Teixeira, while the co-main event features a battle for the vacant interim bantamweight title as Russia’s former undisputed champ Petr Yan takes on American contender Cory Sandhagen.
Ahead of the event, the UFC’s “Embedded” cameras are following the fighters behind the scenes as they work their way through fight week, from their arrival in Abu Dhabi to their media obligations before the weigh-ins and the final faceoffs before fight night itself.
In Episode 3, light heavyweight title challenger Glover Teixeira trains with a legend of the game, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, as he gets set for his championship fight against titleholder Jan Blachowicz in Saturday night’s main event. We also hear from both title fighters, who are full of respect for each other ahead of their bout.
Interim bantamweight title hopeful Cory Sandhagen heads off for Abu Dhabi after saying goodbye to his father – and his dogs, while his opponent, former champion Petr Yan, kicks off his fight week in typically focused fashion.
We also watch as Amanda Ribas and Khamzat Chimaev get their respective fight weeks underway.
