The UFC is back in Canada, with Vancouver set to host UFC 289 as one of the most dominant champions in the history of women’s MMA prepares to take center stage.
Two-division UFC women’s champion Amanda Nunes takes on Mexican challenger Irene Aldana in the main event of the evening, while former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira looks to bounce back after losing his belt to Islam Makhachev. He takes on in-form contender Beneil Dariush, with both men hoping that victory will be enough to book themselves a title shot later this year.
The fight card also features a host of Canadian stars looking to pick up important victories on home soil.
Ahead of the event, the UFC’s “Embedded” cameras are following the fighters behind the scenes as they work their way through fight week, as they arrive in Vancouver and go through their pre-fight media obligations before the weigh-ins and the final faceoffs ahead of fight night.
