The two fighters set for action in the main event of UFC 291 made weight with no problems for their eagerly-anticipated rematch in Salt Lake City.
Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will face off for the symbolic BMF title but, with the bout not an official world championship bout, the one-pound leeway was available to the two fighters, and Gaethje was happy to use it, as he weighed in, as the first man on the scale, at 156 pounds. Poirier swiftly followed at 155 pounds.
Light heavyweights Jan Blachowicz (205) and Alex Pereira (205.5) both came in on weight and ready. But there was a notable weight miss on the main card, as Brazil’s Michel Pereira missed the non-title welterweight limit by three pounds when he tipped the scale at 174 pounds for his bout with former title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson (170.5).
Also missing weight on the scale was flyweight Vinicius Salvador, who came in 2.5 pounds over the non-title limit, at 128.5 pounds for his bout with CJ Vergara.
The remaining fighters on the card all made weight, and you can check the full list of official weights below.
