Two middleweight strikers with very different fighting styles will collide with the UFC middleweight title on the line in Sydney, Australia.
UFC 293 will feature a battle for the middleweight title, as undisputed champion Israel Adesanya looks to register the first defense of his second title reign against American contender Sean Strickland. Both men prefer to stand and trade, but Adesanya has hinted that a submission victory might not be out of the question. Strickland, meanwhile, is sure to try to get under Adesanya’s skin ahead of the fight, then look to take advantage of openings during the matchup as he looks to become the first American to capture UFC middleweight gold since Luke Rockhold in 2015.
