It’s fight week and UFC 250 is right round the corner.
On Saturday, two-division champion Amanda Nunes will make the first defence of her UFC women’s featherweight championship against Canada’s Felicia Spencer.
But that’s not the only fight to have a major implication on its weight class.
The UFC 250 main card boasts three big-time bantamweight bouts which is sure to shake up the title picture after champion Henry Cejudo recently announced his retirement from the sport.
Former 135-pound champion Cody Garbrandt is set to make his first Octagon appearance for over a year against long-time contender Raphael Assuncao.
Before that, a contest between Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen is widely expected to provide one of the next title challengers.
Then there’s the contest between rising star Sean O’Malley and tough, entertaining bantamweight figurehead Eddie Wineland to kick things off on the main card.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, this is a card stacked with fun fights.
UFC 250 will go down behind closed doors at the UFC’s Apex facility on Saturday 6 June.
