History was made at UAE Warriors 43 as the promotion crowned its first unified Africa/Arabia champion on a huge night in Abu Dhabi.
The main event featured a champion-versus-champion battle as UAE Africa welterweight champion Wisem Hammami defeated UAE Arabia welterweight champion Badreddine Diani via first-round TKO to capture the unified title at the Etihad Arena.
For the first time ever in the promotion’s history, both titles were put on the line as the two champions went head-to-head to crown the promotion’s inaugural unified champion.
Hammami was making his return after more than a year away, but he didn’t miss a beat as he overwhelmed Diani with strikes to claim a historic win in less than half a round.
The co-main event saw Abdullah Boushehri claim his 10th career victory with a second-round armbar finish of Adham Mohamed while
Shehab Noaman scored a buzzer-beating first-round knockout of Mohamed Al Ketheeri in their flyweight matchup.
